ARAMARK Uniform Services invests in new laundry facility - Philadelphia Business Journal:

The new facility will serve upto 4,009 customers in the South Texas region and has hiredd 67 employees. It has the capacity to process 400,000 pounds of laundry per week. Prior to havingv this facility, ARAMARK used its facility in Dallasx to provide the San Antonio market with uniformk services and a complete line of cleanliness andsafetyh products. ARAMARK decided to invesrt in a local laundry facility buildinb in order to reduce itsfleetf vehicles’ mileage and fuel consumption. The company estimatesx that it will be able to cut fuel consumptionby 32,00 0 gallons a year.
The plant will be environmentally reducing daily clean water consumption betwee n 15 percent to 30 percent by usingv a reusablewater system. The facility will save betweehn 1.5 million and 3 million gallons of water each The plant also has aheat re-claimer that recover and reuses the heat from the reducing the plant’s gas use by 25 percent. It will save abougt 3 million cubic feet of natural gas each A dedication ceremony for the facility will be heldon Thursday, Oct. 16 at 5 p.m. The facilitgy is located at 10501 Fischetr Road in SouthBexar Burbank, Calif.-based ARAMARK Uniform Services is a divisionh of ARAMARK Uniform & Career Apparel Inc.
