The vehicles that made the list were graded onsafeth features, cost, reliability and style, plus their National Highway Trafficv Safety Administration ratings - all received at least four stars. The othe nine cars that made the list were theAudi A4, Dodge Caliber, Hyundai Sonata, Kia Optima, Pontiac G6, Toyotqa Corolla, Volkswagen Jetta, Volkswagen Passat and Volvl S40. The Honda Civic ranker in July asthe second-best seller in the Honds division of Torrance, Calif.
